The genocide in the 70's, has left 50% of the population under the age of 25. Therefore, the future of this country literally is held with the youth of today. Unfortunately, the government is not providing proper education. For example, we met many teenagers who had never been to school and are now at a 1st grade education level. Anjali House and PCL are helping to combat this situation. To learn more about these organizations go to: http://www.anjali-house.com and http://peopleforcare.org/

ReplyDeleteThat looks like it was amazing. I'm still proud of you for not packing an adorable child into your luggage...
ReplyDeleteYour Anjali pictures are awesome! I spent August/September as a voulunteer at Anjali, but just found your blog today. It's weird (but good weird) to see new pictures of the kids I knew and loved. Hope you had a fabulous time on your RTW.
