Surprise Update...

SURPRISE...we royally messed it up!!! After 6 months of planning and anxious anticipation for many weeks, we jumped the gun by 1 day! Greg's family did not leave NY on the 14th as we thought...their flight was on the 15th. When we posted the blog about where we have been...SURPRISE! We even waited to post it until Delta.com confirmed the takeoff of their flight...too bad they weren't on it! We found out when our friend Sam bumped into them at Momoya on 7th Avenue when they should have been somewhere over the Atlantic!

Riviera Roadtrip

For many months now we have been planning to surprise Greg's family. We told them we were meeting them in Italy on July 18th, but actually we were always planning on meeting them in Barcelona when they arrived there on July 15th. It has been hard to keep it a secret, especially since we have had to lie to everyone about where we have been during the past 3 weeks! It's true, we were in Italy, but after Tuscany we began our Riviera tour. We stopped in Santa Margherita, Italy, Antibes, France and Cadaques, Spain before Barcelona, where we have been renting an apartment for 2 weeks.

The highlight was when we visited our wonderful friend, Laurence, in Antibes. Greg knows Laurence from when he was working on Fathom, the yacht he was designing while working at Zeff Design. Most of you remember Greg was traveling to Turkey once a month, for 8 months, to work on the boat. It just so happened to be docked in Antibes, and we got to hang out on the boat when we got there! It was even more special because Laurence did a champagne toast congratulating us on our engagement. Talk about full circle!
