Auckland, continued...

Wow! Auckland is an awesomely beautiful waterfront city. Very similar to San Francisco, built around a beautiful bay and has a totally laid back vibe. Had breakfast at a really cute cafe and walked around in Parnell, a beautiful residential neighborhood. After walking through the Parnell Rose Garden we made our way to the Ferry terminal to catch a ride to Devonport. And by "made our way" we mean walked for what felt like 10 miles because we couldn't find a bus! Lesson #1: Never forgo seeing something just because it's a long walk.

We love Devonport, a small little beach town with amazing views of the Auckland skyline. Right from the ferry we took another long walk to Cheltenham Beach. We chilled here for a while until Ian's ice cream craving got us back on our feet for another long walk. Lesson #2: never leave without sunscreen in your daypack. Ian now has jump started his tanning but too bad he looks like a farmer!

Pick up the car tomorrow and off to the Bay of Islands.

Watch how you go...

Ian & Greg
